10pc Tournies is a free community tool for running VALORANT tournaments, run by Rick Zhang in New York, United States, who is responsible for this data. This page says what we collect, how we use it, who sees it, how long we keep it and how to have it removed. Using the site also means agreeing to our terms.
What we collect
- When you sign in with Discord: your Discord user ID, username, display name, avatar and email address. If you link Twitch: its user ID, username and avatar.
- Your login tokens, encrypted, so we can refresh your profile, and your past Discord and Twitch names.
- When you sign up for a tournament: the Riot ID you enter and the roles you pick. We then look up that Riot account's rank and match history through the HenrikDev API.
- What organizers add: the Riot IDs, Discord or Twitch names and notes of the players they run tournaments for.
- When a server admin links our bot: the server, channel and role they picked.
- A log of staff and admin actions with the actor's name, for moderation.
- Error reports and response times for the site, without who you are, kept for three months.
Cloudflare, our host, sees your IP address; we use it only to limit how fast the public pages can be hit and never store it. We don't use analytics or ads, and we never sell your data or share it with anyone outside the services listed below.
How we use it
- Your Discord details sign you in and show the organizers of your tournament who you are. We read your Discord profile again when you sign in, and now and then while you are in a tournament, so your name stays current; past names stay so organizers recognise returning players.
- Your email only ties your linked accounts to one login and is checked against the list of site admins. It is never shown.
- Your Riot ID goes to the HenrikDev API to fetch your rank and matches.
- Team names and results go to Discord when the bot posts to a linked channel.
Nothing is used for ads, profiling or anything beyond running the tournaments you take part in.
Who sees it
- Staff of a tournament you're in see your Discord name, Riot ID, rank, roles and stats.
- Anyone signed in can open a public tournament once it starts; a private one stays with its staff. They see your Riot ID, your stats and your Discord avatar on team and draft cards; the avatar's link includes your Discord user ID. On the site, ranks are for staff only.
- Organizers may show your Riot ID, rank and stats on their tournament's stream.
- Nobody sees your email. We only check it against the list of site admins.
- Our Discord bot posts team names and results to channels a server chose to link. It never posts your name or messages you.
Cookies and local storage
Cookies keep you signed in and remember your sidebar layout. Your browser keeps a few preferences, such as table filters, on its own. There are no tracking cookies and we don't track you across other sites, so a Do Not Track signal changes nothing.
How long we keep it
- Your account: until you delete it.
- Tournament records (your Riot ID on rosters and in match stats): as long as the tournament exists, as part of its history.
- Activity history used for moderation: 180 days.
- Our bot's posts: 30 days after the tournament finishes.
- Linked Discord channels: until unlinked.
- If the site shuts down, we delete everything we got from Discord.
Your choices
- Disconnect a linked account on your account page. This removes the link and revokes our access to it.
- Delete your account on the same page. This removes your account, your linked accounts and the Discord or Twitch details copied onto your player record.
- Withdraw a signup from the tournament's signup page.
- Your Discord name and avatar refresh each time you sign in. For anything else, such as correcting or removing tournament records, email privacy@10piecechicken.com.
- We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 13; if we learn we have, we delete the account. Parents can email us.
Security
Login tokens are encrypted at rest. If your data is ever exposed, we tell you and Discord promptly.
Services we use
- Cloudflare hosts the site and its database.
- Discord handles signing in and runs our bot.
- Twitch, if you choose to link it.
- The HenrikDev API provides rank and match data from Riot Games.
Changes
For a change that matters we post a notice on the site before it applies; otherwise we update the date at the top.
