Organizers
Updated November 2, 2026
If you run tournaments here, this page is for you: what you confirm about your players, what to put on your stream, and what Riot asks of community events. It explains the organizer parts of our terms. The terms are what you agree to.
Your players' permission
- When you add a player by Riot ID, we look up that account's rank and match history through the HenrikDev API and show them to you and your staff. Viewers of the tournament see Riot IDs on rosters. On the site, ranks are staff only. You may show Riot IDs, ranks and stats on your tournament's stream. Our privacy page says what we keep and for how long.
- A player who signs up through your join link ticks a box that says exactly that. For a player you add by hand, you confirm you have that permission. The simplest way to have it: send them the join link. When they sign up as the same Riot ID they claim their spot and tick the box.
- If you collect signups on your own form, add a line like: “Your Riot ID and rank will be shared with the tournament's organizers and may be shown on its stream.”
- Use players' details only to run your tournament. A player can withdraw from the signup page. You can remove a player from the players list.
Streaming your tournament
What the site shows where: your Draft board shows ranks to staff. The bracket, the match pages, the vetoes and the public draft board never do. Show the draft while you build teams, then switch to the other views once teams are set, so no team gets a preview of an opponent's ranks before a match.
Show:
- the lobby, agent select, the games, scoreboards, results and the bracket.
- the Riot IDs, ranks and teams of players who agreed, as above.
- a paid or subscriber-only stream, if you like.
Put this on the stream and in the event description, and call the event a community tournament:
“This competition is not affiliated with or sponsored by Riot Games, Inc. or VALORANT Esports.”
Don't show:
- Riot logos, “Masters” or “Champions” branding, or anything that implies Riot runs, endorses or sponsors your event.
- a sponsor in the event name, or a sponsor from Riot's banned list: gambling, fantasy esports, crypto and NFTs, alcohol, tobacco, firearms, adult content, prescription or non-OTC drugs including CBD, political campaigns, among others.
- betting on the matches.
- Riot's own broadcasts, or other players' videos, replayed.
- players' personal details: emails, real names, Discord messages, your signup sheet.
- a player the game hides. If you verify ranks, do it off stream.
Streams can go on any online platform. Linear TV is not allowed.
Riot's rules for community events
- Riot's community competition guidelines cover prizes, entry fees, sponsors and branding. Read them and fill in Riot's visibility form for your event, linked from the guidelines.
- From Riot's general policy: at least 20 participants, at least 70% of entry fees go to the prize pool, no gambling.
- Fees and prizes are handled outside this site. Offer cash prizes only where that is legal and follow the law where you and your players are.
